A company certified as AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) is legally obliged to prove that it permanently complies with the certification requirements by means of continuous monitoring, although the AEO status is valid for an unlimited period of time. In order to maintain the status, it is necessary (depending on the type of authorisation), to comply with demanding process and security-related requirements (in addition to monitoring) and to prove compliance by means of regular, effective controls. Similarly, any changes in the company must be documented, evaluated and, if necessary, immediately reported to the main customs office. As a compliance tool, AWB’s AEO Manager supports you in maintaining AEO status and carrying out monitoring. Its functionalities include the workflow-based assignment of tasks, thereby enabling efficient and time-saving cooperation and organization of tasks across departmental boundaries within the company. For companies that are being certified as AEO for the first time (e.g. because markets are being developed abroad), the AEO Manager also offers IT-based support in the self-assessment required for certification.
